In our Full Day Summer Camp program, your child will grow their social skills, build confidence, and make life-long memories in small, grade-level groups. Each week, your camper will play games, swim, go on field trips, and choose from activities such as sports, archery, cooking, crafts, outdoor skills and more! Each week provides unique experiences and themes – with fun surprises around every corner. Our team is excited to make Summer 2023 the best one yet!

Our Teen Camp offers a space where youth from all backgrounds are welcomed, discover new skills, establish positive relationships, and reach their full potential. Through different weekly themes, teens (rising 6th-8th grade), will participate in activities and discussions that explore service learning and leadership development – all while having fun in the process! Your teen is sure to find their spark this summer at the YMCA.

We are excited to offer our 4 week CIT program. The focus of this program is to gain leadership and life skills, and prepare for future employment. *Application is open as long as space is available.

Focus: Gaining leadership skills and preparing for future employment.
Gains: professional recommendations, life skills, staff mentor, certification of completion for the CIT program, YMCA leader certification.

Art Camp

Campers who attend this specialty camp will learn skills targeted for their age. They will work on projects all week that allow them to express themselves and teach technical skills. There will be an art show on the Friday afternoon of each week.

Harry Potter Camp

While your family may be muggles, you are not. You’re a Wizard! Pack your trunk and head for Harry Potter Camp at the Caine Halter YMCA. In this experience, our First Years will be sorted into houses, take a trip to Diagon Alley for supplies, take their first wizarding classes, and of course play quidditch. Send your Harry Potter fan to camp this summer for a wizarding world experience they will never forget!

Jr. Engineering Camp

We Can Rebuild It. Better. Faster. Stronger. In this building camp for curious innovators, our campers will explore items from the world around them and figure out how they can build it better. From simple machines to propulsion cars, our campers will channel their inner engineer as they engage in hands-on STEM challenges and inventive projects. Students will build 21st century skills in critical thinking, problem solving, technology, collaboration and more.

Mad Scientist Camp

Do you have a young scientist itching to stretch their science muscles over summer, then Mad Scientist camp is for you. Campers will begin by unleashing the awesomeness of the scientific method, then use it to explore the world of chemical reactions, discover the connection between solids, liquids, and gases, and much, much more! At the end, campers will take home all their creative projects for friends and family to enjoy, as well as the tools of their trade to continue their scientific journeys at home. Your little scientist will be “mad” about science after this experience!

Super Hero Camp

Superhero fans ASSEMBLE! In this top secret classified specialty camp, young campers will be immersed in the universe of their favorite Marvel and DC superheroes. While making newfound friends and allies, campers will have the fantastic opportunity to create their own superhero identity and alter ego, as well as write a comic book and film a short film starring none other than their newly created characters. At the end, campers will take home all their creative projects for friends and family to enjoy, as well as their own personalized superhero certificate of achievement! All superheroes and sidekicks alike are invited to learn and have fun together this summer!

Theatre Camp

Campers will enjoy exploring the world of theatre and make a cast of new friends during this fun-filled week. At theater camp students will immerse themselves in the world of theatre, both on and off stage. With the help of our experienced counselors, campers will participate in a mini production where they will not only be the cast but also the writers, set designers and make-up artists. They will prepare an original script, build a set, put together a performance, and perform for family and friends.

Swim Camp

Swim Camp is held in weekly sessions throughout the summer for swimmers of all levels.  Swim Camp is designed to provide a safe, fun environment while improving swimming strokes and learning how to be safer in and around water. Campers will be divided into groups based on swim assessment skill level (Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced). Each group will focus on swimming skills based on current skills and abilities (beginner through advanced swimming strokes). Each day, campers will rotate through swim instruction, group games, free swim, and water safety activities. In addition to a bathing suit and towel, campers should also bring swim goggles, a labeled water bottle and sunscreen. A small snack will be provided for each camper.

Jr. Lifeguarding Camp

Jr. Lifeguard Camp prepares youth & teens for the responsibility of supervising and keeping a pool deck safe. Campers will train and learn procedures such as general safety rules, how to respond to aquatic emergencies, and buddy checks. Campers will also complete American Red Cross CPR and First Aid certification. To attend Jr. Lifeguard Camp, the camper must be at least 11 years old and be able to swim at least 100 yards continuous, any stroke. In addition to a bathing suit and towel, campers should also bring swim goggles, a labeled water bottle and sunscreen. A small snack will be provided for each camper.

Triathlon Camp

Triathlon Camp (ages 11-15) and Jr. Tri Camp (ages 7-11) prepares and trains athletes to complete triathlon events. Campers will have fun while participating in biking, swimming, and running training throughout the week. Campers will practice skills such as competitive biking techniques (shifting, cornering, biking up hills successfully, riding in a group), running techniques, swimming stroke instruction and how to transition. Plus play fun games, activities & more! From new to experienced athletes, Y staff will adapt the activities for all levels to develop valuable skills. Equipment list will be emailed out prior to camp and be branch specific.

Encanto Dance Camp

Encanto lovers, let's talk about Bruno! Encanto Dance Campers will enjoy Encanto-themed crafts, songs, and dance all week! We will teach jazz, ballet, and hip-hop dance styles with moves inspired by Bruno, Mirabel, Isabela, and Luisa. Campers will create and learn dance routines for a magical performance at the end of the week. On Friday, family and friends are invited to see what campers learned. Campers should wear comfortable clothes that are easy to move in. Encanto costumes may be worn as long as it does not restrict your child’s movement.

Twirls and Tutus

Calling all aspiring ballerinas! Throughout the week, campers will learn the basics of ballet, dance their way through story time ballets, and make their own tutus. On Friday, parents are invited to an informal performance highlighting skills learned throughout the week. Participants need ballet slippers and should wear comfortable clothes that are easy to move in. Leotards may be worn but are not required.

Dance with Disney

Calling all Disney lovers! This camp will introduce campers to jazz, ballet, and hip-hop by dancing along with their favorite Disney songs from Disney classics to Disney Channel Songs. Campers will dance, make crafts, and learn multiple routines to perform for family and friends on Friday. Campers should wear comfortable clothes that are easy to move in.

Dance with the Descendants

Come dance with Mal, Evie, Carlos, and Jay from the Disney Channel hit Descendants. Campers will develop skills in 3 styles of dance: Contemporary, Hip Hop, and Jazz. Campers will learn a dance in each style and create their own routines while building confidence and passion for dance. On Friday, there will be an informal showcase for parents to see the campers’ talents! Campers should wear comfortable clothes that are easy to move in.

Frozen 2 Dance Camp

Come dance with Elsa, Anna, and Olaf for the children who can’t get enough ‘Frozen’ in their lives. Pretend to be the characters and explore their movements through ballet, creative movement, and jazz. Campers will make Frozen crafts, dance to Frozen music (from movies 1 & 2), and build ice castles. Family and friends are invited to the ice land performance on Friday to see what campers learned throughout the week. Campers should wear comfortable clothes that are easy to move in. Frozen costumes may be worn as long as it does not restrict your child’s movement.

Basketball Camp

This basketball camp is designed for kids who are being introduced to the sport or have played a few seasons and are beginning to develop basic skills. Kids will learn proper dribbling techniques, passing, basics of defense and more. Parents will be invited to watch a game on Friday.

Flag Football Camp

There is a reason football is the most popular sport in America, especially the South. Whether you wear Clemson Orange or Gamecock Garnet this camp will have it all! Kids will be broken into groups by age and have a full understanding of Football. They will learn different routes to run, defense skills, how to rip a flag away and more. Parents will be invited to watch a game on Friday.

Flying Disc Sports Camp

Flying Disc Sports Camp is all about the Frisbee! Half disc golf, half ultimate Frisbee. Campers will learn different throwing techniques for all scenarios along with rules for both games. On Friday they will play a mock course and an ultimate Frisbee game!

Soccer Camp

The world’s game! With 226 nations in the world recognizing soccer as their national sport, it is easy to see why soccer is so popular especially here at the YMCA! Kids in this camp will be broken up into groups by age and will work on age-appropriate skills. Campers will learn how to properly pass, dribble, control the ball, shoot and more. Parents will be invited to watch a game on Friday.

Track & Field Camp

This sport dates all the way back to the Ancient Olympic games as one of the older sports in the world. This camp is great for kids who are looking to get faster and stronger across all aspects of their athletic career. Campers will learn proper running technique, drills and exercises to limit injury and throw objects as far as they can! Campers will have their own track meet Friday morning.

Volleyball Camp

This camp will help athletes develop and grow their love for the game. Campers will learn how to serve consistently over the net, how to hit the ball to both teammates and over the net and more. Campers will play a full volleyball game Friday morning.

All Sports Camp

Love Sports? This camp has it all-Soccer, Flag Football, Basketball, and Frisbee! Each day will focus on a different sport, learning the basics of each and playing a scrimmage every day! Campers will get to choose their favorite sport and parents will be invited for a full game on Friday! Equipment Needed: Shin Guards-Soccer; Mouth Guard-Football.

Extended Day Camp is an option for parents who seek to complement their child’s half-day specialty camp with additional activities. When your camper’s specialty camp is not in session, they’ll join their friends in Full Day Summer Camp for an extended time of fun and play! Extended camp is only available if your camper is signed up for a specialty camp. Students will be taken to their specialty camp by one of our staff, and returned to full day summer camp after specialty camp ends. Please note: Extended Day Campers do not go on field trips.

Full Day, Teen, and Extended Day Camps
  • A $50 registration fee is required at time of registration (non-refundable).
  • A $10 deposit is required to reserve your spot for each session week.  
  • We require payments to be made using an automated payment schedule. This payment authorization is to remain in effect until the Y receives the required notification to cancel the program. Your scheduled payment amount will increase/decrease based on the weekly fee plans, and will be adjusted to reflect holidays that fall within your camp week. If your scheduled payment is returned or if you stop payment or your account closes, you will be responsible to pay the program fees and the $25 service fee. If any changes occur with your bank account, debit or credit card, please notify the Y immediately.
  • A cancellation notice is required in writing at least 15 business days prior to the camp’s start date.
  • Written cancellation notices received at least 15 business days prior to the camp start date will result in a refund or system credit of amount paid (minus $10 deposit).
  • No refunds or system credits will be issued for cancellation requests not submitted at least 15 business days prior to the camp start date.
